Healthcare needs

If you have basic healthcare needs, you may have this provided by your local health centre, like a nurse changing any dressings you may have.

They can also arrange equipment like bedpans or a commode, if you need them.

Some health services are provided from hospital, like home visits from a physiotherapist or speech therapist. Most, however, are provided by the community or local health services.

The Scottish Government have a leaflet called Ready for Discharge? What happens next? (PDF, 271 KB).
